I am a well-seasoned Data Migration and Cutover IT professional with over 25 years of experience. I have deep overall transformation project experienced attained through working on large and smaller transformation and ERP projects around the globe. My emphasis is on the mentoring and development of the teams I work with and lead, while keeping a firm eye and grip on the overall delivery both to time and budget. I have a heavy SAP background however my experience includes multiple D365, Workday, Oracle and BSS system as well as a host of other up and downstream peripheral systems. My approach to every engagement is inclusive from the IT teams who deliver extracted raw data to the business and functions teams who validate the end result. Digicel has undertaken a comprehensive business transformation project to completely overhaul its BSS and related customer-facing technologies by reducing its legacy landscape by approx. 64 systems and replacing or upgrading these with 24 differing systems. The main objective of this vast transformation is to:
- Modernize technical capabilities.
- Improve the technological infrastructure.
- Improve customer experience with a simplified product and service catalogue.
My role in this multi-system, multi-market project is as the Data Migration and Cutover Manager with a team of approx. 27 people covering all data-related disciplines from the collection of reference data, data cleansing, data migration code development and managing a team of data migration SME’s analysts.
In addition to managing all the major data-related activities on the project for Digicel, my role required a much larger amount of time being spent on developing the various data-related methodologies and processes to enable the other project aspects such as:
- Development of a global data migration strategy and approach.
- Supporting the Technical Program director to ensure that technical requirements across the project are fully understood and met within the data-related arenas on the Shapes project.
- Support project and project PMs with associated project/system deliveries to support migration and cutover timelines.
- Managing migration and data-related program budgets and resources.
- Development and execution of the Shapes “Go to Market” approach to prepare the markets for the oncoming business transformation change.
- Migration team development and mentoring- As many of the team were new to the tools and practice of data migration.
- Development of a data factory delivery model for migration technical delivery utilizing Azure ADF & Data Bricks.
- Performance testing planning and data delivery.
- SIT, UAT functional testing scoping and supporting data requirements.
- Support in the development & delivery of the new Single View/Telflow Product Catalogue and working closely with the business commercial teams to align their requirements in this area.

Playing a key role as part of the project leadership team:
- Work Stream lead for Cutover, Data Migration and Data Cleansing work streams.

- Led teams in the development of data cleansing strategies and execution with multiple market entities and their local leadership.

Philips are undertaking a global business transformation throughout all of its value chains business areas and supporting transactional system platforms. The two areas I featured prominently include its Markets 2 Order & Order 2 Cash business transformation projects. This heavily (FDA) regulated environment requires strict documentation requirements and validated processes and procedures against validated environments and systems. EIM (Enterprise Information Management) is the division within Philips that is responsible for delivering these types of IT projects business change and service-driven data management requirements and is spearheading the effort within the Philips business group.

Working as the Program DML and Cutover Manager I managed day to day a team of 12 people, 8 on the EIM Philips side and 4 on the SI side with a mixture of functional and technical expertise. I was responsible for the e2e development and execution of the data migration strategy and plan for all aspects of the program. I have been involved in a wide spectrum of project activities that are not usually considered the normal DML or Cutover activity. however, it allowed me to utilize additional skills giving me greater responsibility. The program foundation release was the North American Markets, which included five business units and my role included a mixture of both hands-on and managerial task

D365 solution has been rolled out as its Finance 2020 solution and I was the data lead during the deployment. Due to the late nature of the migration, I was responsible for the entire development and execution of the data migration approach, which included the following:
